Good Friday – Stations of the Cross

For Holy Week (the week before Easter) we will have a worship service with the Stations of the Cross.

If you’re not familiar with the stations, they are an ancient practice dating back to 1200’s, where European pilgrims to Jerusalem would re-create the places in the last days of Jesus’ life back home, and walk between them in prayer. Originally around 7, it grew to 14, and became a common practice in Christianity. Paintings and sculptures of the stations can be seen on the walls of churches around Europe and the US.

At Open Space we’re going to make our own 14 stations, painted by our members. They’ll serve as the backdrop for an interactive and contemplative service on March 22 at 7pm at The Studio on 4648 E. Speedway Rd
